Motorcyclist seriously injured in Linz traffic accident

A 43-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a traffic accident on the B126 in Linz on the evening of August 25, 2026. The incident occurred around 6:40 PM as the motorcyclist was attempting to overtake several vehicles in a traffic column heading out of the city.

While attempting to merge back into the lane to avoid an oncoming car, the motorcyclist collided with the rear of a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old woman. The impact threw the motorcyclist over the car onto the roadway. Emergency services and doctors provided initial treatment before transporting the individual to the Linz Accident and Trauma Hospital. The driver of the car was uninjured, and both vehicles sustained heavy damage.
