Buctzotz motorcycle crash: driver accepts liability after collision

A gray van failed to observe a mandatory stop sign at the intersection of Calle 17 and Calle 22 in Buctzotz, striking a blue motorcycle that had right‑of‑way. The motorcyclist was thrown onto the pavement, sustaining minor but notable injuries. He was taken to a nearby private clinic for medical care. The van driver, who was visiting the town, admitted the mistake, agreed to cover the rider’s medical expenses and the vehicle damage, and reached an out‑of‑court settlement with the motorcyclist. Municipal police arrived at the scene to document the incident and determine responsibility.

The accident caused material damage to the motorcycle while the driver of the van stopped to assist and cooperated with authorities.
