Grupo Quadrilha and DJ Eric Furni Perform at João Pessoa’s Circulador Cultural

On Sunday, 19 July, the municipal cultural program Circulador Cultural took place at the historic Casa da Pólvora in João Pessoa, Paraíba. The event featured DJ Eric Furni, who delivered electronic remixes of classic songs and forró pé‑de‑serra, and the vocal quartet Grupo Quadrilha, presenting original material from their eight‑year career. The project, coordinated by the João Pessoa Foundation for Culture (Funjope) and the city’s mayor, aims to democratise access to the arts and showcase the city’s cultural diversity. Funjope executive director Marcus Alves highlighted the venue as an alternative‑art hub that consistently attracts a guaranteed audience; the previous Quadrilha show drew about 500 people. Both performers emphasized the importance of the event for strengthening local culture and providing a vibrant gathering space for artists and the community.
