Motorola begins Android 17 rollout for Moto G86

Motorola has begun the gradual rollout of the stable Android 17 update for the Moto G86 and Moto G86 Power smartphones. Initial distribution has been detected by users in Argentina and Mexico.

The software update introduces several visual and functional changes, including new lock screen clock faces, a redesigned control center, and a restructured app drawer. A key feature is the support for Live Activities, which allows users to monitor ongoing calls, music playback, and flashlight usage directly from the interface. The update also includes a new volume mixer and enhanced support for themed icons, with the manufacturer stating the focus is on improved multitasking and reduced visual clutter.

In the retail market, the Moto G86 5G is currently featured in promotional bundles. In Spain, MediaMarkt is offering a package that includes the Moto G86 5G (8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage) along with a Moto Watch Fit for 239 euros, representing a significant discount from the combined individual prices.
