Motorola begins Android 17 rollout for over 50 devices
Motorola has confirmed that more than 50 of its smartphone models are eligible for the Android 17 upgrade, covering the Razr foldable series, the Edge lineup, and the budget-friendly Moto G series.
The stable rollout of Android 17 has officially commenced, with the Motorola Edge 2025 being the first device to receive the update. In the United States, the rollout began on August 7 via the MetroPCS network, featuring a July 2026 security patch.
New features included in the update involve several artificial intelligence and interface enhancements. These include Qira AI for key customization, depth-effect wallpapers, Bluetooth LE Audio support, and a redesigned notification system with "Live Activities."
Testing is also progressing through an expanded beta program. The Motorola Signature has received its third beta version, while the Moto G86 Power has entered the testing phase for unlocked devices in Europe.
