Motorola begins Android 17 rollout in India
Motorola has commenced the rollout of the Android 17 update in India, starting with its Signature portfolio. The phased deployment aims to provide a more personalized, secure, and intuitive software experience through various interface and functional enhancements.
Key updates include a redesigned user interface featuring an updated Quick Settings layout, refreshed Settings menus, larger buttons, and simplified navigation. Users will also experience a refreshed home screen, improved HDR brightness controls, and expanded accessibility features within Vision Settings and Display Size options.
New functional tools include Instant Hotspot for easier connectivity sharing, Nearby Audio Streams, and device diagnostics to monitor component health. Security improvements feature a Failed Authentication Lock, enhanced PIN protection, and Messages Scam Detection for SMS, MMS, and RCS messages to proactively flag suspicious activity.
