Motorola Edge 70 Max debuting with 7,100 mAh battery, 144 Hz AMOLED display

Motorola has rolled out its new Edge 70 Max smartphone across several markets, including Italy, Spain, India, South Korea, Japan, France, Poland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Vietnam, Romania and the United States. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB. It features a 6.8‑inch Quad‑HD+ AMOLED screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 7,000 nits and Pantone‑validated colour accuracy.

A standout feature is its 7,100 mAh silicon‑carbon battery, which Motorola claims can deliver up to 73 hours of use. Charging is supported at 90 W wired, 25 W magnetic wireless (Qi2) and reverse‑charging. The phone also incorporates a vapor‑chamber and liquid‑metal cooling system, IP68/69 water‑resistance and MIL‑STD‑810H durability. Camera hardware includes a 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra‑wide lens and a 32 MP selfie shooter, all capable of 4K video. Prices start at €699 in Spain and ₹49,999 in India. The Edge 70 Max also introduces Motorola’s Qira AI assistant.
