Motorola has expanded its mid-range smartphone lineup with the Moto G Max and the Moto G87. The Moto G Max is essentially a rebranded version of the Moto G87, appearing under this new name in certain markets such as Portugal.

Both devices feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a high peak brightness of 5,000 nits, designed for visibility in direct sunlight. The hardware includes a 200 MP main camera with optical image stabilization and 2x lossless optical zoom.

Under the hood, the phones utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor and offer 5G connectivity. Storage configurations include 256 GB of internal memory, with options for up to 12 GB of RAM (expandable up to 24 GB via software) and microSD support for up to 2 TB. The Moto G87 also features high durability ratings, including IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications, alongside MIL-STD 810H military standard compliance.
