Motorola unveils flexible smartwatch‑phone concept and leaks premium Watch Ultra
Motorola has filed a U.S. patent for a smartwatch that can transform into a phone. The design features a rollable display that can wrap around the wrist, open into a larger surface, or be joined with a magnetic system to create a device the size of a smartphone. The patent describes multiple configurations, but no production plans have been confirmed.
Separately, leaked images show Motorola’s upcoming premium smartwatch, the Watch Ultra. The 46 mm stainless‑steel model includes a rotating crown, secondary side button, IP68 rating and 5 ATM water resistance, and supports LTE for standalone cellular use. The operating system has not been confirmed, with possibilities ranging from Google Wear OS to a proprietary platform. No official launch date or price has been announced.
