Motorola launches Android 17 beta for Moto Edge 60 Pro in India
Motorola has begun rolling out the Android 17 beta to the Moto Edge 60 Pro, with the first distribution observed in India by Reddit testers. The beta introduces a live‑activities pane that occupies the front‑camera space, similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, plus solid‑color notification icons, a redesigned control centre, updated volume UI and enhanced haptic feedback. A new artificial‑intelligence assistant, Qira, is also bundled to link Lenovo and Motorola devices and provide voice commands and automations.
The company opened a registration portal for Brazilian users to join the testing program, but no official release date for Brazil has been announced. Android 17 itself was launched by Google in June 2026; Xiaomi shipped the first stable version, while Samsung released One UI 9.0 for its foldable line. Motorola has not yet disclosed a timeline for the final stable rollout on its devices.
