Motorola launches Edge 70 Max with 7100 mAh battery and up to three Android upgrades

Motorola unveiled the Edge 70 Max, a premium 5G smartphone marketed for high performance and rugged durability. The device features a 6.82‑inch Quad‑HD+ LTPO AMOLED display reaching up to 7,000 nit brightness, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, and a 7,100 mAh battery supporting 90 W wired, 25 W magnetic wireless and 5 W reverse charging. It is built to military‑grade standards, resisting drops from 1.8 m, extreme temperatures, humidity and altitude, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and an aerospace‑grade aluminum frame with Pantone‑certified colors.

Motorola also clarified its software support policy for the Edge 70 Max, promising up to three major Android OS upgrades and five years of security and functional updates. The phone ships with a dual rear camera system (50 MP main, 8 MP ultrawide) and a 32 MP front sensor, along with features such as a vapor‑chamber liquid‑metal cooling system and Qi2 magnetic wireless charging. The launch details were reported in Italy, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.
