Motorola launches high‑end Moto G Max smartphone in Brazil

Motorola announced the Moto G Max, a re‑branded version of its recently launched Moto G87, for sale on the company's Brazil online store at 2,519.10 BRL (about US$490). The handset is offered in Blue Carlio and Graphite colors.

The device sports a 6.8‑inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K (2772 × 1272) resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, 8 GB of RAM (expandable virtually to 16 GB) and 256 GB of internal storage.

Camera hardware includes a 200 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8 MP ultra‑wide lens and a 32 MP front‑facing camera. A 5,200 mAh battery supports 33 W fast charging and promises up to 35 hours of use. The phone meets IP66, IP68 and IP69 water‑dust ratings and complies with the MIL‑STD‑810H military durability standard. Additional features are an in‑display fingerprint sensor, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, dual‑SIM/eSIM support and the Android 16 operating system.

Motorola has not confirmed whether the Moto G Max will be released beyond Brazil, where it may continue to be marketed under the Moto G87 name in other regions.
