Motorola Moto G87 reviewed: bright AMOLED display but weakened performance

The Motorola Moto G87 offers a bright 6.78‑inch AMOLED panel with HDR and a 120 Hz refresh rate, IP68/IP69 water resistance, a reliable fingerprint sensor and a 5200 mAh battery that supports 30 W charging. It includes a microSD slot, dual‑SIM support and a 200 MP main camera paired with a 32 MP ultra‑wide lens.

However, reviewers note a significant performance drop compared with its predecessor. The device uses a lower‑cost system‑on‑chip typical of mid‑range phones half its price, resulting in sluggish Wi‑Fi, a USB 2.0 port and overall weaker speed. Software updates are promised for four years, yet the price of about €269 (≈ $270) is considered high for the reduced performance, prompting recommendations for a price cut before the phone can be advised.
