Motorola releases Edge 70 Pro+ with periscope lens in India
Motorola has launched the Edge 70 Pro+ smartphone in India. The device sports a 6.8‑inch Super Extreme AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor, paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The camera module includes three 50‑MP sensors: a main Sony LYT‑710, an ultra‑wide unit, and a periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5× optical zoom and up to 50× digital zoom. A 50‑MP front‑facing sensor provides high‑resolution selfies. Battery capacity is 6,500 mAh silicon‑carbon, supporting 90 W wired fast charging, 15 W wireless charging and reverse‑wireless charging. The phone is rated IP68/IP69 for water and dust resistance and meets MIL‑STD‑810H durability standards. It runs Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI and includes AI features with three major OS updates and five years of security patches. Pricing is about $500 (≈ 47,999 rupees) for the 12 GB/256 GB configuration.
