Motorola to expand Qira AI to Razr, Edge, and Signature series
Motorola has announced that Qira, its artificial intelligence personal assistant developed in collaboration with Lenovo, will expand to more smartphones via the Android 17 update. The expansion targets the Signature, Razr, and Edge device families.
Qira is designed to function as a unified intelligence layer across the Motorola and Lenovo ecosystems. It allows users to maintain context between different devices, such as continuing a task started on a Motorola smartphone on a Lenovo laptop or tablet. The assistant supports interaction through voice, text, images, and video.
Key features include: - Summarizing conversations, notifications, and messages (Catch Me Up). - Transcribing and summarizing meetings or discussions (Pay Attention). - Generating suggestions, reminders, images, stickers, and avatars. - Creating wallpapers from photos. - Completing specific tasks on behalf of the user.
While the update will reach high-end and select foldable models, Motorola has not yet released a comprehensive list of all compatible devices or specific release dates.
