Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ set for India launch on June 4 with upgraded camera and design

Motorola confirmed that its newest flagship, the Edge 70 Pro+, will debut in India on 4 June 2026. The device is billed as the premium model in the Edge 70 series, arriving with a 6.8‑inch AMOLED display that supports a 144 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and up to 5 200 nits of brightness.

The handset features a triple‑camera array, each sensor rated at 50 MP. The main camera uses Sony’s LYT‑710 sensor with optical image stabilization, complemented by a 50 MP ultra‑wide lens and a 50 MP periscope telephoto offering 3.5× optical zoom and up to 50× AI‑enhanced digital zoom. Three Pantone‑curated finishes—Chicory Coffee, Stormy Sea and Zinfandel—provide distinct textures such as sculpted wood, twill‑inspired patterns and a satin‑luxe coating.

Specifications reported include 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM (with some leaks suggesting up to 16 GB) and 256 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone runs Android 16 and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset; while some leaks cite the high‑end 8500 Extreme, a Geekbench listing shows a Dimensity 8400 scoring roughly 1 722 single‑core and 5 623 multi‑core points, indicating a possible performance trade‑off for the premium camera hardware. The battery is a 6 500 mAh silicon‑carbon unit, expected to last up to 51 hours of mixed use, with 90 W wired fast charging and 10 W wireless charging.

Motorola expects a launch price of around ₹44 999 in India, with sales through Flipkart, the Motorola India website and authorized retail outlets.
