Motorola launches Moto Pad 70 tablet in India with 12.1‑inch 2.5K display
Motorola announced the Moto Pad 70, a mid‑range Android tablet aimed at the Indian market. The device features a 12.1‑inch LCD panel with 2.5K resolution and up to 800 nits brightness, MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC, 5G connectivity, a 10,200 mAh battery and 68 W fast charging. An included Moto Pen stylus supports pressure sensitivity, tilt detection and palm rejection, while quad speakers with Dolby Atmos provide audio for media consumption. Android 12 (upgradable to Android 16) will ship with two major OS upgrades and security updates through 2030. Motorola plans to sell the tablet on Flipkart, with sales opening on 6 August and the official launch slated for 8 August. Reported pricing in India ranges from about ₹22,000 to ₹29,000, positioning it as a lower‑cost alternative to Apple’s base iPad. A variant marketed in Brazil (Moto Pad 70 Groove) adds a nine‑speaker JBL audio system but remains limited to the Indian market for now.
