Motorsport Australia issues insurance guidelines and releases busy weekend schedule

Motorsport Australia clarified that its insurance programme covers only events it sanctions and applies solely to the affiliated club or promoter. Covered activities include food and beverage services, parking, merchandise, fuel and other event‑related supplies, but suppliers themselves are excluded. Event organisers must obtain a current public liability certificate from each supplier and ensure their own public liability insurance for any non‑covered activities such as concerts, DJ performances, amusement rides or unrelated sporting demonstrations.

For the upcoming weekend, Motorsport Australia has more than 30 sanctioned events across the country. New South Wales leads with twelve events, featuring the Lazer Rally of the Bay, the NSW Motor Race Championship round at One Raceway and the Toyota GAZOO Racing Australia Scholarship Series at Sydney Motorsport Park. Victoria hosts ten events, including the historic Winton Festival of Speed and numerous grassroots khanacross competitions. Queensland, South Australia, the Northern Territory and Western Australia round out the schedule with five, three, two and one events respectively, covering hillclimbs, off‑road championships and assorted club meets.
