Motorsport updates: 2027 Qatar Grand Prix dates and MotoGP Austria pole

The 2027 Formula 1 calendar has been confirmed, featuring the Qatar Grand Prix at the Lusail International Circuit from December 3 to 5. As the 23rd round of a 24-race season, the event will serve as the penultimate race and will include a Sprint race format.

In MotoGP news, Jorge Martin secured pole position for the 2026 Austrian Grand Prix at the Spielberg circuit. Riding for Aprilia, Martin recorded a time of 1’27”917, narrowly beating Marc Marquez by 15 milliseconds. Pedro Acosta will start from the front row in third, while Francesco Bagnaia is set to start from seventh position.
