Motorsport updates: Benvenuti recovers in Misiones and Cáceres faces mechanical issues

In the TN APAT 2026 Championship, Juan Cruz Benvenuti achieved a significant recovery during the eighth round at the Autódromo Ciudad de Oberá in Misiones. Driving a Volkswagen Vento prepared by Canning Motorsport, Benvenuti overcame a difficult qualifying session where he placed 24th. After finishing 13th in his qualifying heat, he managed to gain ten positions during the Class 3 final, ultimately crossing the finish line in 15th place.

In the Toyota GR Cup Series held at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Uruguayan driver Maite Cáceres faced mechanical difficulties. Representing Rafa Racing, Cáceres struggled with a starting failure that forced her to join the race a lap behind the field. Following a weekend focused on data collection and addressing component deficiencies, she was forced to abandon the race with 25 minutes remaining, finishing 26th.
