Motorsport updates: Montenegro chases triple crown and Rally La Palma begins

Argentine driver Ignacio Montenegro is competing at the Zandvoort circuit in the Netherlands, aiming to secure a triple crown in a Formula 1 circuit category. Driving a BMW M4 GT3 alongside teammate Matisse Lismont, Montenegro has already secured the Endurance title and is close to clinching the Sprintdur title. The upcoming races offer the opportunity to win the General championship of the Silver class.

In Spain, the 51st edition of the Rally La Palma Isla Bonita is underway, marking the final stretch of the local championship. The event is a high-coefficient race crucial for determining championship standings. Alejandro Afonso and Ariday Bonilla, leading in a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, are among the key competitors. The rally also features international participation, including European two-time champions Alexey Lukyanuk and Yury Kulikov.
