MotorWeek to premiere 46th season with focus on affordability

The long-running automotive television series MotorWeek is preparing to launch its 46th season on September 12. Produced and distributed by Maryland Public Television, the program will place a renewed emphasis on consumer frugality and affordability.

New content for the upcoming season includes a segment titled “Top of the Charts,” which will provide reviews of the five best-selling vehicles within various consumer segments. The series aims to assist viewers with car ownership costs, specifically regarding routine maintenance and repairs.

Host and creator John Davis noted that while electric vehicle development remains a focus, the show will continue to evaluate a wide range of powertrains, including battery electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids, traditional hybrids, and internal combustion engines.
