Mototaxistas clean hazardous road in La Porfiria

Approximately 45 mototaxistas organized a community cleaning effort to clear a hazardous route connecting Ciudad Porfía, La Madrid, and Las Palmas School in La Porfiria. The road had become a safety concern due to narrow passages and overgrown vegetation encroaching on the corridor.

Local workers reported that the dense foliage reduced visibility and restricted space for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcycles, increasing the risk of accidents. Beyond physical hazards, residents expressed concerns that the thick vegetation provided cover for criminals, particularly during early morning hours. The cleanup was led by the local Mototaxista Association, which represents 63 workers and has operated in the community for approximately 20 years.
