Motörhead announces 40th anniversary edition of ‘Orgasmatron’

Motörhead has announced a 40th anniversary edition of their 1986 album, ‘Orgasmatron’. The release includes a brand-new remix and remaster of the landmark record created by longtime collaborator Cameron Webb using the original stems.

In addition to the new remix, the anniversary edition will feature the original studio recordings, which have been remastered and cut at half speed from the original tapes. The release aims to explore the story behind the album's creation and address historical discussions regarding its production. While the original production by Bill Laswell was noted for its unique perspective, band members Lemmy and Phil Campbell previously expressed that some of the album's power and energy were lost in the final delivery.

The 1986 lineup featured Lemmy, Phil Campbell, Würzel, and Pete Gill. The album is recognized for blending hard rock, heavy metal, and punk influences.
