Motörhead releases 'Built For Speed' video ahead of Orgasmatron 40th anniversary
Motörhead is celebrating the 40th anniversary of their 1986 album, Orgasmatron, with the release of an animated lyric video for the single “Built For Speed.” The track is part of a new remix of the album by Cameron Webb.
The anniversary edition, scheduled for release on November 6 through BMG, will be available in several formats, including a deluxe 3LP bookpack, a 2CD set, and a 1LP transparent violet vinyl pressing. These editions will feature the remastered original mix, the Cameron Webb remix, studio rehearsals and outtakes from 1985, and a full 1986 BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show session.
Webb, who has produced six Motörhead albums, stated his intention was to respect the original work of producer Bill Laswell and engineer Jason Corsaro rather than creating a modern heavy metal sound. He aimed to reveal more of the internal details of the original recordings while honoring the legacy of band members Lemmy Kilmister and Phil Campbell.
