Motörhead announces 40th anniversary edition of Orgasmatron

Motörhead has announced a 40th anniversary edition of their 1986 album, ‘Orgasmatron’, scheduled for release on November 6, 2026. The reissue will feature a brand-new remix and remaster by longtime collaborator Cameron Webb, created from the original multi-track stems.

In addition to the new mix, the collection will include the original studio recordings, which have been remastered and cut at half-speed from the original tapes. The release is expected to be available in several formats, including a deluxe 3LP bookpack, a 2CD edition, and a single vinyl pressing on transparent violet vinyl.

The anniversary edition aims to revisit the album's history and production. While the original 1986 production by Bill Laswell was considered unique, the band noted that members Lemmy and Phil Campbell previously felt some of the record's power and energy were lost in the final delivery.

Bonus content for the reissue includes studio rehearsal recordings and outtakes from 1985, as well as the complete 1986 BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show session. The album originally featured the lineup of Lemmy, Phil Campbell, Würzel, and Pete Gill.
