Motsi Mabuse discusses brother's death and shoulder injury

German television personality and ‘Let’s Dance’ judge Motsi Mabuse has spoken openly about the lasting impact of her brother Neo’s death. Mabuse revealed in an interview that her half-brother took his own life when he was 18, an event that occurred while she was living in South Africa near Pretoria.

Mabuse stated that the loss changed her life, causing her to hold loved ones closer while also creating a sense of pressure and anxiety regarding her own family. She noted that the experience often leads to intrusive thoughts about the safety of her daughter and husband.

In addition to these personal reflections, Mabuse reported suffering a partial tear of the rotator cuff in her shoulder. Due to this injury, she will be unable to participate in several upcoming dates of the ‘Let’s Dance’ tour, with Isabel Edvardsson stepping in to join the jury panel for those shows.
