Motta Sant’Anastasia: 20-year-old arrested for attempted murder

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in Motta Sant’Anastasia for aggravated attempted murder, illegal possession of weapons, and ammunition. The arrest follows an investigation by the Catania District Prosecutor's Office into a shooting that occurred on August 23.

According to investigators, the suspect was driving a white Fiat Panda and opened fire on two motorcycles carrying four people during a high-speed chase through the city center. The motorcyclists managed to escape, and the vehicle used in the attack was later abandoned in the Terre Nere countryside. The incident is believed to be linked to existing tensions and rivalries between different criminal groups in the region.
