King Mohammed VI provided his official blessing for the marriage. Moulay Driss Filali, the son of Princess Lalla Meryem and nephew of the King, is an entrepreneur who manages investment projects through his holding company, International Moroccan Conglomerate (IMC). While a member of the royal family, he does not hold a position in the primary line of succession.
