Mouloudia Club d’Alger defeats Chabab Mordjane Oran in Superdivision debut

Mouloudia Club d’Alger (MCA) secured a 66-52 victory against newly promoted Chabab Mordjane Oran (CMO) in the opening match of the 2026-27 Superdivision basketball season.

The match, held at the LOFA multisport hall in Oran, featured the debut of CMO, a club founded only in 2023. Despite a strong performance in the third quarter where CMO utilized three-point shots from Islem Bab El-Ayat and captain Oussama Hameto to briefly take the lead, the experience of the reigning Algerian Cup winners, MCA, proved decisive.

CMO’s preparation was hindered by the absence of key player Mounir Khames, who is currently participating in the African University Championships in Egypt.
