Moundou engineer assaulted and diplomas destroyed in domestic dispute

In Moundou, Chad, a domestic dispute escalated into physical violence on the night of September 11, 2026. An engineer working for a brewery was reportedly attacked by his wife at their home following an argument regarding his return time.

During the altercation, the wife allegedly used bottles to strike the victim. In addition to the physical assault, several of the victim's administrative documents and professional diplomas were reportedly burned during the incident. Following the attack, security forces intervened and arrested the woman. After being detained in Moundou, she was transferred to N'Djamena to face judicial proceedings.
