Moundou Multimedia Community Center inaugurated in Chad

The Agency for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies (ADETIC) officially inaugurated a Multimedia Community Center in Moundou, located in the Logone Occidental province, on September 29, 2026. The facility is designed to reduce digital inequality by providing local populations with improved access to digital tools and services.

The center includes a training room equipped with computer hardware, a cybersecurity room, a meeting hall capable of hosting 120 people, a cybercafé, administrative offices, and a technical room with servers. To ensure reliable operation, the center utilizes a hybrid energy source combining solar power, the national grid (Tchadelec), and a generator.

Officials, including the Secretary General of the Ministry of Telecommunications, Digital Economy and Digitalization, Hisseine Brahim Abdelkrim, and ADETIC Director General Adoum Djimet Saboun, emphasized that the project aims to bring digital progress to territories beyond major cities. The initiative is intended to support the skills development and innovation of youth, women, students, and entrepreneurs.
