Mounir Nasraoui sparks controversy in Spain

Mounir Nasraoui, father of Barcelona footballer Lamine Yamal, has drawn widespread criticism in Spain following provocative remarks made during a social media live stream. While filming at a dog park in the Pedralbes neighborhood of Barcelona to complain about a lack of water services, Nasraoui engaged with viewers in a confrontational manner.

In response to a follower suggesting he find employment, Nasraoui stated, “I don’t need to work, boy. I don’t need to work, I have millions, thank God.” He also directed sarcasm toward Santiago Abascal, leader of the Spanish political party Vox, blaming him for the park's lack of basic services.

Nasraoui, who previously worked as a painter, has seen a significant change in his family's economic status due to his son's professional success. His recent comments have ignited intense debate across Spanish social media regarding his public persona and attitude.
