Mount Athos issues rebuttal to To Vima newspaper

The Holy Community of Mount Athos has issued a formal response to a publication in the newspaper ‘To Vima’ regarding the Sinai Monastery. In a letter addressed to the newspaper’s director, the community characterized the claims made in an article by Dionysios Skliris, titled ‘The 20 days that decide the fate of Sinai Monastery’, as entirely false.

The Holy Community stated that the targeting of certain representatives and monks of Mount Athos is ‘morally unacceptable’. They have requested a categorical refutation of the claims and asked for the publication of their response in the same section where the original article appeared to ensure the restoration of the truth.
