Mount Takao hiking experiences during August holidays

Hikers have reported various experiences climbing Mount Takao during the August holiday season, noting the presence of seasonal flora and varying trail conditions.

One visitor documented a trek via Trail 1, observing several plant species including Yabu-myoga, Iwata-bako, and Rengetsu-shoma near Yakuoin Temple. The hiker noted that while the climb was strenuous, the trails offered opportunities for nature photography and interaction with other enthusiasts.

Another hiker completed a trek via the Hebaki Falls course, noting increased water levels due to recent rainfall. This individual, aged 79, completed approximately 17,000 steps, navigating through shaded areas and utilizing Trail 3 to reach the summit.
