Mount Zion Faith Ministries remakes classic film ‘Agbara Nla’

The classic Mount Zion Faith Ministries film ‘Agbara Nla’ is being remade as ‘Agbara Nla: The Return’ for a contemporary audience. Originally released in 1993, the film was later adapted into the English-language version ‘The Ultimate Power’ in 1994.

Filmmakers Damilola and Joshua Mike-Bamiloye initiated the project to retell their father Mike Bamiloye’s iconic story in a modern setting. While the brothers initially proposed the remake four years ago, Mike Bamiloye originally felt the timing was not right. The project moved forward following discussions with producer Chris and subsequent approval from Mike Bamiloye.

Mike Bamiloye is set to reprise his role as Isawuru. The production was filmed over approximately 21 days and is scheduled for nationwide cinema release on 1 October.
