Rescues in Germany and Austria: hikers found, cyclists injured, rockfall

In Austria, two cyclists in the Perg district suffered severe injuries after separate crashes and were taken to the university hospital. A 51‑year‑old hiker in Upper Austria experienced a panic attack on the Kremsmauer; mountain rescue and alpine police rescued her after a police helicopter sighted her.

In Carinthia, a Czech climber was struck and jammed by a massive rock on the way to the Hochalmspitze, requiring a combined rescue effort by mountain rescuers, a police helicopter and volunteer firefighters.

Additional alpine incidents included a 59‑year‑old woman who fell while descending in the Höllengebirge and two young hikers who became lost after following an app‑generated route in the Salzkammergut; both were rescued without injury.
