Mountain running events scheduled in Affi and Bosco Valtravaglia

Several mountain running events are scheduled in Italy. In Affi, Verona, the twelfth edition of the ‘Giro sul Monte Moscal’ will take place on September 26. Organized by Atletica Baldo Garda and the Municipality of Affi, the event features an 8-kilometer undulating course. A major highlight for the 2026 edition is the inaugural FIDAL Monte Moscal Trail, which includes an exclusive passage through the West Star tunnel, a former Cold War NATO military installation currently undergoing a 7-million-euro restoration to become a museum.

Additionally, the third edition of the StraMontegrino is set for September 19 in Bosco Valtravaglia. Organized by Atletica 3V and Unione Sportiva Boschese, the event features two routes: a 9.6-kilometer technical course for mountain runners and a 5.5-kilometer path suitable for families and walkers. This year’s race marks the restoration of an ancient mule track between Sciorbagno and Bonera, which has been returned to local hikers and the community.
