Mountain running events scheduled in Asturias

Several mountain running events are scheduled to take place in Asturias, Spain.

In Ribadesella, the second edition of the Trail del Infiernu will be held on September 5. The event features two adult modalities: the 21-kilometer Original Trail and the 11-kilometer Speed Trail. While registration for the main adult races is sold out, free registration remains open for children's races. The routes will traverse the coastal landscapes and cliffs of the eastern Asturias coast.

In the municipality of Lena, the twelfth edition of the Trail Macizu d’Ubiña is set for Saturday, August 29, starting from Tuiza Riba. The event includes a main 21-kilometer trail with 4,200 meters of accumulated elevation and a 15-kilometer alternative known as the Carrerina. The races will pass through the Macizu d’Ubiña mountain range, including the Meicín refuge. Organizers have noted that safety measures, including medical assistance and Civil Protection, will be in place, though routes may be modified due to weather conditions.
