Mouser Electronics signs global distribution deal with Hailo for edge AI chips

Mouser Electronics announced a worldwide distribution agreement with Hailo, a leading manufacturer of edge‑AI processors. The partnership will make Hailo’s silicon‑based AI accelerators, including the Hailo‑8 and the lower‑cost Hailo‑8L, available through Mouser’s global catalogue. Hailo’s architecture delivers on‑device deep‑learning inference with low power consumption, high performance (the Hailo‑8 provides 26 tera‑operations per second) and integrated memory that removes the need for external DRAM. The chips are targeted at edge‑vision applications, enabling cameras and other devices to run AI workloads locally without relying on internet connectivity.
