MOVA and KONDA research reveal smart technology trends in Turkey
A joint research study by MOVA and KONDA Araştırma has mapped the landscape of smart living technologies in Turkey. Based on a survey of 1,454 urban and metropolitan residents, the findings highlight the growing integration of artificial intelligence into daily life.
Approximately 62% of participants reported using at least one AI tool, a figure that rises to 72% among robot vacuum cleaner owners. Usage is particularly high among younger demographics, with 88% of those aged 18–29 and 94% of university students utilizing AI tools. The research indicates a strong willingness among users to delegate routine household chores, such as sweeping, dishwashing, and laundry, to AI-supported devices.
When asked what comes to mind regarding ‘smart homes,’ 65% of respondents identified robot vacuum cleaners as the primary product, a figure reaching 74% among existing owners. Other mentioned products included televisions, phones, and refrigerators.
The study also quantified time savings provided by smart devices. While general smart device users save an average of 3.3 hours per week, robot vacuum cleaner owners save approximately 4.6 hours weekly. The amount of time saved increases with the number of devices owned, reaching 6.7 hours per week for households with five or more smart devices.
