Movember 2026 campaign launches to support men’s health

The Movember 2026 fundraising campaign has launched, encouraging participants to ‘Make a Growmitment’ to support men’s health initiatives. The campaign focuses on raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention.

Participants can engage by growing a moustache, completing physical challenges such as walking or running 60 kilometres, hosting events, or setting personal challenges. In Ireland, the campaign highlights research showing that while 52% of men consider male friendships essential to their wellbeing, 28% still feel an expectation to cope with difficulties without seeking support.

In Canada, the campaign coincides with the government’s preparation for the country’s first federal strategy on the health of men and boys, expected in fall 2026. Statistics from the Canadian Cancer Society and the Public Health Agency of Canada indicate significant health challenges, including an estimated 29,300 prostate cancer diagnoses and approximately 4,500 suicide deaths annually in the country.
