Movimento 5 Stelle develops political program following NOVA 2026

The Movimento 5 Stelle (M5S) is developing its political platform following the NOVA 2026 convention. The movement aims to present a progressive alternative focused on social justice, democratic renewal, and economic stability. Key policy priorities include addressing the cost of living, strengthening public healthcare to reduce waiting lists, implementing a minimum wage, and supporting young people and families.

Regarding international policy, the movement emphasizes diplomacy and humanitarian aid for Ukraine rather than increased military spending or European rearmament plans. Internal party mandates, directed to Giuseppe Conte, advocate for a vision that addresses issues such as energy transition, environmental protection, and anti-corruption measures.

In preparation for upcoming regional elections in Sicily, M5S regional coordinator Nuccio Di Paola announced a convention for this autumn. The goal is to finalize a concrete program that avoids purely propagandistic measures, focusing instead on structural reforms in healthcare and addressing the economic pressures facing the middle class and those in poverty.
