Movimento 5 Stelle holds inaugural Summer School in Calabria

The Movimento 5 Stelle (M5S) held its first Summer School in Diamante, Calabria, from September 25 to 27, 2026. The initiative focused on training the party's youth network through debates and discussions with independent professors, university academics, and experts.

Pasquale Tridico, the M5S head of delegation at the European Parliament and coordinator of the party's training school, described the event as a strategic choice to help young people navigate global economic, political, and geopolitical transformations. He noted that the selection of Calabria aims to address the regional issue of youth emigration and leverages the area's Mediterranean position to encourage a broader outlook.

Giuseppe Conte emphasized the importance of engaging the younger generation in current global challenges, including the competition between democracies and autocracies, social justice, climate change, and the impact of artificial intelligence. He stated that young people should be active participants in shaping society rather than mere spectators.
