Movimento Alternativo demands urgent safety measures for SS233

The political group Movimento Alternativo has submitted a formal request to ANAS and the Prefecture of Varese calling for urgent preventive safety measures on the SS233 'Varesina' road. The request focuses on the stretch between Grotte di Valganna, Ganna, and Ghirla, an area containing residential centers, commercial activities, and public transport stops.

Proposed interventions include technical inspections, speed surveys, and accident analyses to identify critical points. Specific safety measures requested include luminous speed detection panels, optical bands, improved vertical and horizontal signage, and enhanced safety for pedestrian crossings and bus stops. Additionally, the group has asked law enforcement to implement periodic traffic controls and evaluate the use of speed cameras and technological monitoring tools to ensure the safety of daily commuters.
