Movimiento Antorchista announces leadership change in Veracruz
The Movimiento Antorchista has formally announced a change in its state leadership in Veracruz, Mexico. Juventino Navarrete Chilita will assume full control of the organization in the state.
Samuel Aguirre Ochoa, who led the movement in Veracruz for over four decades, is stepping down from the state directorship to serve as the president of the National Sports Commission (CODENA). Organization representatives stated that this transition is part of a broader national strategy to reorganize leadership and assign new responsibilities to experienced members across various entities.
Juan Manuel Celis Aguirre, president of the South-Central Regional Committee, clarified that the change is not related to upcoming electoral processes or health issues, but is instead a strategic move to empower younger leaders with proven experience. The reorganization aims to strengthen the movement's presence among the working classes and advance its political objectives.
