Movimiento Antorchista marches in Xalapa to demand meeting with Governor Nahle
Members of the Movimiento Antorchista in Veracruz held a march in Xalapa to demand a meeting with Governor Rocío Nahle García. The group is seeking attention for approximately 85 social infrastructure projects and community demands that they claim have remained unaddressed for two years.
State leader Juventino Navarrete Xilita stated that the requests include essential services such as potable water, electricity, drainage, paving, and general service improvements across various municipalities, including Tantoyuca, Xalapa, Veracruz, and Catemaco. Navarrete Xilita noted that while they have met with officials from the Secretariat of Government, they have not received concrete solutions and believe only the governor has the authority to resolve these issues.
Additionally, the organization reported instances of alleged intimidation, noting that judicial summons were issued to several leaders, including Samuel Aguirre Ochoa, Minerva Salcedo Vaca, and Miguel Arturo Bastián Sierra, following the announcement of the mobilization.
