Movimiento Ciudadano denounces Morena for early campaign acts

Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) in Yucatán has filed formal complaints against the Morena party before the National Electoral Institute (INE) and the local electoral institute (Iepac). The complaints allege that Morena is engaging in premature campaign and pre-campaign activities ahead of the 2027 elections.

MC argues that Morena’s recent calls to define district and municipal coordinators serve as a mechanism to select candidates outside of legal timeframes. The party contends that these activities constitute early promotion of political profiles, violating the principle of equal competition. The complaints follow Morena’s announcements in August and October regarding the selection of various party coordinators.
