Movimiento Ciudadano names Gustavo Cárdenas delegate in Tamaulipas

Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) appointed Gustavo Cárdenas Gutiérrez as the party’s national delegate for the state of Tamaulipas. The decision was announced by MC national president Jorge Álvarez Máynez, who highlighted Cárdenas’s three‑decade political career and his familiarity with the state’s territory and militancy.

As delegate, Cárdenas will coordinate MC’s political activities across the 43 municipalities, focus on internal organization, recruit new members and prepare the party’s electoral strategy for the 2027 state elections and the 2028 national contests. Party members and supporters expressed approval on social media, noting his experience and leadership.

Álvarez Máynez said, “Siga contando con el cariño, con el respaldo de la gente de Ciudad Victoria… queremos proponerle que sea designado Gustavo, delegado nacional de Movimiento Ciudadano en el Estado de Tamaulipas.” The appointment is seen as part of MC’s broader effort to strengthen its territorial presence and compete more effectively against other parties in the region.
