Movimiento Ciudadano sees political shifts in Mexico
Movimiento Ciudadano is seeing shifts in its political structure in Mexico as new figures join or are welcomed into the party. Mario Calzada Mercado, a federal deputy for Querétaro and former municipal president of El Marqués, announced his departure from the PRI to join Movimiento Ciudadano. Calzada Mercado stated his decision followed personal and political reflection and emphasized that he will maintain his commitment to his constituents in District 05 of Querétaro.
In a separate development, Senator Néstor Camarillo Medina indicated that the party remains open to the potential incorporation of Enrique Doger Guerrero, the former mayor of Puebla. While Camarillo Medina clarified that no formal invitation has been extended, he noted that he recently met with Doger Guerrero to discuss political matters and resolve previous differences. The senator suggested that Doger Guerrero would be welcome in the party should he decide to join, as part of efforts to strengthen the party's structure for upcoming elections.
